Mr. Tanenbaum founded Primus Capital LLC, an Atlanta, Georgia finance and investment firm. His investment banking career initially focused on real estate finance, including highly structured corporate sale leaseback transactions. For the last 15 years Jay has concentrated his investment activities in China, including ventures in commercial real estate development, financial services, consumer electronics, data centers, alternative clean energy, and the import and enhancement of thermal coal. Mr. Tanenbaum served as CEO and director of NASDAQ-listed Middle Kingdom Alliance which completed a business combination with Beijing Funtalk. He is a founder and director of Middle Kingdom Value Fund. Mr. Tanenbaum has served several community organizations including over ten years as chairman or executive committee member of the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life. He is chairman of the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, set to open in 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane.
Dr. Liu has over 15 years of experience in US China bilateral trade and investment. She led the China program at the Center for International Trade and Security (CITS) on strategic trade control and nonproliferation issues. She organized high level dialogues between governments, NGOs and industries. She has written on the issues of U.S.-China strategic trade control cooperation, government policies in promoting industry compliance and nonproliferation regimes. Dr. Liu managed programs and activities to promote bilateral cooperation in high tech trade and worked with Chinese businesses to improve their internal compliance programs. Prior to joining CITS, Dr. Liu worked at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government where she ran various executive training programs between US and Chinese local and state government officials. She also served on the Board of Directors at the Georgia China Alliance, a nonprofit organization in Atlanta promoting business between Georgia and China. Dr. Liu organized dozens of business activities to help Georgia businesses understand Chinese market, regulations and establish business connections in China. Dr. Liu received her PhD in International Relation from the School of Public and International Affairs at UGA. She also has two Master Degrees in Economics and Internet Technology from Terry School of Business at UGA.
